CONMED Corporation Launches New Products at Annual American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons

CONMED Linvatec Delivers New High Definition Video Imaging System;

              24K Irrigation System; Hip Arthroscopy Kit

UTICA, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 14, 2007--CONMED Corporation (Nasdaq: CNMD) today announced that its CONMED Linvatec business unit will launch several new products at the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons in San Diego on February 14 - 18, 2007.

- The IM4000 TrueHD(TM) High Definition Camera System is designed for use in many types of endoscopic surgery including arthroscopy, laparoscopy, urology and OB/GYN. Expanding on CONMED Linvatec's many years of superior surgical imaging, the IM4000 High Definition camera system, with 1080p resolution, provides the clinical advantages of high definition camera systems without sacrificing the convenience of steam sterilization. It also gives surgeons an increased horizontal field of view with a wider screen image to provide a much fuller visualization of the surgical site. With the greater number of picture elements, also known as pixels, this system has significantly increased resolution and three dimensional perception that offers surgeons greater image quality to a level previously unattainable. The IM4000 High Definition system conforms to the Advanced Television System Committee (ATSC) standards. It offers users tremendous flexibility by operating in all three of the ATSC Digital Television High Definition Systems, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p. At the highest level of 1920 x 1080 lines of resolution, the image contains 2.1 million pixels, approximately six times the number of pixels of CONMED Linvatec's Enhanced Definition camera system, currently our top-selling video system.

- The 24K Irrigation System is CONMED Linvatec's newest high-end fluid management system that provides fluid to the joint space for irrigation, distention and hemostasis during arthroscopic procedures. This system includes an Inflow/Outflow/Suction Tube Set, a Shaver Sensor, an Interarticular Pressure Sensor, and a Remote Control. With multiple presets, ease of use and rapid response to pressure changes, this addition to our line of irrigation pumps is another example of why CONMED Linvatec is a market leader in fluid management systems.

- Minimally invasive arthroscopy of the hip is increasingly being used by clinicians to diagnose and treat certain pathologies of this large joint. CONMED Linvatec's new Hip Arthroscopy Kit offers instrumentation specifically for this procedure. The kit includes two 120mm disposable operative cannulas, a 17g Hip Distention Needle, 40cc Syringe, Guidewires, Switching Stick, Extended Length Banana Knife, and Skin Marker / Ruler.

Learn about them at the AAOS Annual Meeting, San Diego Convention Center, CONMED Booth #1932, February 14-16, 2007
